Our Accommodation Options
Yass Valley Aged Care consists of 65 single rooms with an option of 3 styles of accommodation.
Single rooms come partially furnished with bed, wardrobe, drawers, chair and desk. you are welcome to bring some smaller furniture items from home as well as other decorations to transform the space and make it your own.
Residents are encouraged to personalise their surroundings within the given space in their room. Examples of items you may wish to bring with you are photographs; a favourite chair; pictures; a favourite doona cover or quilt; a TV or radio; and ornaments etc.
It is important to consult with the Care Managers prior to purchasing or bringing in items of furniture for there are a number of safety and space aspects to be considered.
The following 3 options are the Accommodation pricing guidelines for Yass Valley Aged Care Ltd from November 1st 2025:
Single Room with Shared Bathroom
Maximum Refundable Accommodation Deposit - $500,000

Single Room with Private Ensuite
Maximum Refundable Accommodation Deposit - $575,000

Premium Single Room with Private Ensuite
Maximum Refundable Accommodation Deposit - $625,000

Available Services.
Activities offered are designed to help improve and maintain a resident’s physical wellbeing, along with intellectual and creative interests. Activities are offered as to an individual’s preferences. There are bus outings; Wednesday big morning tea; there is a mini golf course on site; art and craft opportunities; movies; and well established gardens.
The facility activities can be enjoyed by all clients.
A monthly program of activities is displayed in resident rooms and around the facility and a regular Newsletter is produced.
There is a visiting hairdresser, librarian, beautician, Dental Hygienist, Podiatrist etc
Personal Possessions

Any costs associated with phone or Pay TV connection are payable by the resident or representative.
Visiting Hours
Visiting hours are unrestricted and family and friends are always welcome. We ask that the privacy and wishes of other residents be respected. The external doors of the facility lock in the evening for security of residents. If you visit and find the doors locked there is a buzzer to call staff for admittance.
Visitors can have a meal with their relative. For this to occur we request 24 hrs notice and there is a nominal cost paid on the day or billed to the resident. Kitchen staff manage this process.
Families can use the Robinson Room or private lounges for family celebrations for a donation fee.
Shopping
Shopping can be done by our volunteer shopper.
Church Services
Various denominations are represented and services are held at set times throughout the month. Ministers will also visit to speak privately with residents.
Transport
A Resident’s family is approached first if transport is required to and from arranged external appointments. If the family are unable to assist, then staff will make suitable arrangements and any associated costs will be billed to the resident.
Ambulance Regulations are such that few residents are able to access this form of transportation except in the event of a medical emergency.
Pets
Pets have recognised therapeutic value and also help create a homelike environment. Relatives are encouraged to bring in pets belonging to residents to visit at any time. Dogs need to be on leads and cats restrained in cage when outside the resident’s room. Following consultation with management, certain pets e.g. birds and fish may be able to make their home at Yass Valley Aged Care.
Additional Information
Yass Valley Aged Care Ltd has a policy that electric wheelchairs and scooters can only be used in the resident’s room. If use outside the room is required staff must assist with use of the scooter / wheelchair. This is due to the risk to frail walking residents.
